The Caring Ministry Team

The Caring Ministry Team's chief responsibility is to check up on current and former parishioners who, for whatever reason, cannot make it to our regular church services.  For a number of years now this dedicated team visits residential and care homes and brings the community closer together.  Their visitations may involve conversation, home communion or a lunch together.  We bring news of the parish by bringing them the Sunday bulletin and let them know they are still important members of the parish family.

We also bring sacraments once a month to those who wish. Occasionally we bring them flowers from the altar. Birthday cards are sent to the seniors and get well cards are sent to all parishioners who are ill or in hospital. We deliver goodie baskets and cards to our seniors at Christmas  & Easter.

The Caring Ministry Team, in partnership with the Priest, visits the seniors of our community so that they can keep in touch with church life and let the church help them as may be needed.  This is a crucial ministry at St John and we are very blessed to have an outstanding Caring Ministry Team.
